Yggdrasil

A sealed Fedora appliance that boots Tor Browser into Niflheim + Avalon

Read the plan

Who it is for

Some operators want Niflheim and Avalon without a visible Linux desktop: disk encryption, a privacy-first HQ mode, and Tor Browser as the only local chrome. Yggdrasil is that appliance. Avalon's APIs and UX stay the same; HQ extras arrive as Optimus host modules, not as an Avalon fork.

What it is

Yggdrasil is a Fedora-based host that behaves like a Chrome OS-style appliance. It boots full-screen Tor Browser, runs Niflheim on k3d, and presents Avalon as the managed experience. LUKS plus encrypted PVCs keep workload data sealed if a disk walks away.

What you get

  • Chrome OS-like appliance behaviour on Fedora
  • Boot straight to Tor Browser kiosk; no host GUI for regular users
  • Niflheim on k3d plus Avalon as the managed experience
  • HQ mode: VPN, extra privacy options, Optimus OS-bridge modules
  • Full-disk LUKS plus encrypted PVCs inside k3d

Look and mood

There is no live UI to screenshot yet. The backgrounds are concept art for the intended mood.
